Hard at work behind the scenes, I pause to honor the life and work of Leon Chaitow, one of my important teachers, mentors, and inspirations in the osteopathic profession. I was first introduced to his impressive and canonical body of work including over 70 books during osteopathic medical school in the 1980’s during which we were taught his concepts and techniques, and was in recent years reintroduced as a clinician via Sue Hitzmann and the Fascia Research Congresses and related conferences that we convene at. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of peer-reviewed (and now Medline indexed) Journal of Bodywork & Movement Therapies (Elsevier). A true inspiration, his impressively library of carefully researched textbooks illuminate osteopathic and naturopathic concepts and techniques in unsurpassed scientific and clinical detail and represent one of the most important bodies of work from these perspectives. A true loss to the professional and human communities he has touched. Condolences and peaceful transitions to all. 22.09.2018
